Great Wave Soap
The 'Great Wave Soap' was created in collaboration with the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) to celebrate a special exhibition featuring the renowned Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849). The inspiration for this exceptional soap comes from Hokusai's iconic artwork, 'The Great Wave' (full name: 'Under the Wave off Kanagawa').

I am pleased to inform you that I got the Sponsor’s Choice award from the Soap challenge club (https://soapchallengeclub.com/soap-dough-embed-winners) in Feb 2022. The Soap Challenge Club is the place for soapmakers in the world to learn new soap-making techniques and present soaps using the technique of that month. Prizes are given to recognize the creators of outstanding soaps. I made a soap that was inspired by the famous painting "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt and won a Sponsor’s Choice award.

Yeon Hee Choi is an artist based in Shoreline, Washington. She completed the Korea Aromatherapy Instructor Association (KAIA) courses, the creative soap course organized at Nocturn, and the baking candle course by CRAFT & DESIGN LAB (CLAB). She pursues her interest and passion in aromatherapy and design through binucho.com.
